Margaret Herbener
Hello! I am a paper cutting artist. I have been at the craft since 2015, when I cut my first snowflake. Since then, I have opened up my own shop, attended art shows like Mount Gretna and Kipona, begun displaying work in several galleries and shops in Pennsylvania, sold over 500 unique pieces of art, and hosted my first solo art gallery.
In creating my work, I am focused on the beautiful. I carve every line to be elegant. My work draws inspiration from turn-of-the-century arts and crafts design, as well as art nouveau design.
Now, I am working on fewer, larger pieces and am proceeding though private sales. I have only four spaces available per year for commissions, so contact me via email if you are interested in commissioning a piece of artwork.
The name Morning Cloudshine first came to me when experiencing the morning sun shine through thick rain clouds. As I stood in the rain, the sun breaking through, something about that moment felt important. The world was lovelier than I had ever imagined. And this is what I hope to share with you in my artwork: new eyes for the world around us.
